reading slump
I'm having a slump. I know it's not my book because the bit that I have read is very good. It is probably the kids going back to school, me looking for a job, yada yada yada. I need a slump breaker.
Have you ever tried audiobooks to break a slump? I just recently started using them when I feel like I'm too tired to read the printed page, but don't want to watch tv...
Why don't you re-read something you really like, an old favorite of some kind?
I've been on a roller-coaster with books this summer. So, I read manga when I hit a slump, because they are fun and easy to read. Maybe you should read some Calvin & Hobbes.
I'm considering switching to magazines for a bit. I have Publishers Weekly, Bookmarks, and some Entertainment Weekly sitting here. I've been wasting time playing Wurdle instead of reading. Ugh.
Magazines are great for reading slumps because they can be quick reads (if you read just an article or 2). I have done that during strssful times when a long book just doesn't appeal to me.
Are you going to work as an SLP again? If you need any help with activities or whatever... just let me know!

I only tried audio once, and I think I had an annoying reader so it turned me off. I should try it again.

No, I'm not going to work as an SLP anymore. I'm hoping for something else in the schools though. Thanks, Lisa. :)
